As Alumni, you hold a very special place in the heart of Camp Lakota.Please feel free to make plans to visit Lakota and come see the campus that we all call home.

Important Alumni News: Please save the date - Saturday July 6th, 2013 will be Alumni Day at Camp Lakota. Please bring the entire family to a fun filled day at Lakota. More information to come soon, please join us to see old friends on Masten Lake.

Also, please be sure to check out our brand new Alumni Facebook page. There are already hundreds on board. The Alumni Facebook page will be our new source for alumni information and will have tons of great pictures.

Our Camp was built by families like yours, and we want our Alumni Family to always be a part of Lakota, now and always.

We hope you all are having a great start to 2013.

Can you believe it’s almost the end of February already?

As the calendar keeps turning and the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months, before you know it we will be in our favorite time of the year, summer.

We have exciting news for all of our Camp Lakota alumni.

This summer we are planning the largest organized Camp Lakota Alumni reunion in our history. We are hoping that everyone will be able to join us to celebrate the great times you had up in the Catskills at Camp Lakota. Relive your summer memories and see all of the improvements and new activities that have been added to camp since you last visited.

Are you on Facebook? We are. Please search for the “Camp Lakota Alumni” group and ask to join. One of the administrators will approve you, usually within a few hours. Take a look at all of the great pictures that have been posted. Feel free to add your own.

Here are the general details:

Where: Camp Lakota – 56 Park Road, Wurtsboro NY 12790 (On Masten Lake)
When: Saturday July 6th, 2013
Time: 10:00am – 5:00pm (estimated times)

For the first time ever all alumni and their family members will be able to participate and try all of the activities at camp.

• Take a drive at the Lakota Raceway.
• Enjoy everything beautiful Masten Lake has to offer.
• Swim in one of our two heated pools. (don’t forget your bathing suits)
• Climb the wall; take a trip on zip line.
• Ride the horses or mountain bikes
• Play in one of our planned softball, volleyball or basketball games

Do you have children ages 5 & over? We would love for them to spend the day with current campers of the same age. Bring the whole family for a day of fun.

Shortly we will be sending out an evite for Alumni Day to all of those in our Facebook group and all alumni on our email list. We are planning a great day for everyone including a bbq lunch, so we would like to get an idea of how many people are attending. You will also be able to view the evite and see who else is already planning on attending.

We are in the process of finalizing a schedule for alumni day and we will post it once it is complete.

We will send out information on local hotels and restaurants for those who are interested in making the reunion into an overnight event. I am sure Danny’s and Dutch’s will be packed with alumni Saturday night after the sun goes down.

Everyone up at camp is looking forward to seeing all of you on July 6th.
