Our Camp Lakota Campus
Camp Lakota, located just 90 miles from New York City, sits high atop the Wurtsboro Hills in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. We are situated on 200 of the most beautiful acres of land available. Our magnificent spring-fed Masten Lake with it's sandy beaches and diverse waterfront sports has helped make Lakota a family tradition for 86 years. We offer a full range of land and water sports and a wide range of specialty activities, including horseback riding, waterskiing and scuba diving on the grounds. Our tennis courts, basketball courts, and hockey rinks are well lit for night activities. Two terrific heated swimming pools, also with lighting, allow campers to enjoy swimming both day and night.
Our campus radiates out from the original estate mansion that was built in the early 1900's. We now use this building, at the center of our campus as our Arts & Crafts center. Our bunks are newly renovated, both inside and out. Camp Lakota’s facilities allow room for the growth and development of our campers. Most of our bunks house 8 - 10 children and 3 counselors. This promotes a social environment where making new friends is easy!
